Over the last two years, Riffa Views International School has been partnering with Princeton Academy and Stuart Country Day Academy, two prestigious private schools in Princeton, New Jersey, to provide a global perspective and enhance the middle school curriculum. During the month of June, teachers from RVIS traveled to Princeton to collaborate with the two schools on several ongoing projects. Through Project-Based learning, all three schools are exploring water scarcity, and developing practical solutions to help solve this global issue. Students are also participating in a global book club which enhances conversations through varied perspectives from around the world.
This year will also mark the first annual collaborative trip with the two private schools. During the month of December, our secondary students and several teachers will travel to the U.S. to work side by side with their Princeton counterparts. Students will also have the opportunity to visit several universities to experience and explore the life and culture of higher education in the U.S. This eight-day trip will also include students touring Washington D.C, visiting the White House, enjoying National Day dinner at the Library of Congress, and touring New York City.
Dr. Gary Bicker, RVIS’ Princeton Partnership Coordinator expressed his enthusiasm for the trip stating, “This exciting opportunity will not only provide students with the unique opportunity to experience life at prestigious American schools, but will also allow them to be immersed in a culture, history, and environment, very different to their own.”
