Even on the weekends, our secondary students are empowered to make the world a better place. The RVIS MUN (Model United Nations) team was invited to participate in an international conference involving schools from neighboring countries to draft, debate and build consensus around solutions to issues such as refugee aid, de jure discrimination, underage marriage, video-game addiction and more.
RVIS students not only caucused their ideas, but took the lead as main submitters in every council garnering recognition for their effort. A congratulatory accolade goes to Albader Al Khowely and Tino Rademaker for honorable mentions, as well as Maryam M, Mohammed Abdulmalik and Shirel Ponnudurai for winning best delegate, the highest award a participant can receive. Also a special thanks to MUN Coaches Angela Robinette and William Yung.
