As school was wrapping up for the week last Thursday, a group of dedicated educators gathered to begin the process of building a partnership between schools. Teachers and school leaders from The Bahrain School and RVIS gathered to discuss how to kick off collaborative student, teacher, leader, and community relationships. Wheels were put in motion for some easy ways the schools can start to share practice and build a true partnership. We quickly realized that providing educators with chances to meet socially and professionally could be the catalyst for forming partnerships that will spread into classrooms
The educators decided on a few quick wins like creating cross-school WhatsApp groups, planning social events, setting dates for a Teachmeet, and identifying ways to collaborate during new teacher training. Great ideas were put forward, relationships were formed, and all left with an understanding that action will happen. We hope that this will be the first of many collaborative meetings between schools in Bahrain.
