Curriculum & Learning
Learning at Riffa Views International School (RVIS) evolves to support students at every step of their education.
From Early Childhood to High School, our programs nurture curiosity, confidence, and a love for discovery while preparing students for success.
Arabic Program
The Arabic program at RVIS is designed to meet the needs of native and non-native speakers. Rooted in the Bahrain Ministry of Education framework, the curriculum is enriched with modern teaching strategies that make learning Arabic more engaging.
Native speakers follow a rigorous track focused on fluency and advanced writing, while non-native speakers build their skills through immersive activities that introduce grammar, vocabulary, and culture. Songs, stories, calligraphy, and project-based learning bring the language to life.
Students also take part in Arabic-focused extracurriculars such as Arabic Language Day, poetry readings, cultural festivals, and calligraphy workshops. The program supports the IB Arabic A & B tracks, preparing students for bilingual diplomas and helping them appreciate the depth and richness of the Arabic language.
Extended Learning Time
At Riffa Views International School, learning goes beyond the classroom. Our Extended Learning Time (ELT) program offers students the opportunity to explore their interests, develop new skills, and deepen their learning in a supportive and inspiring environment.
ELTs provide a wide range of activities including academic, creative, athletic, and service-oriented, all designed to nurture the whole child and encourage balance, curiosity, and innovation. Whether through sports, arts, technology, or inquiry-based projects, students are empowered to explore their passions, and innovate for the future.
By extending learning opportunities beyond the regular timetable, ELTs strengthen our commitment to the IB philosophy and our mission to cultivate confident, balanced, and engaged global citizens.
Careers Education and Guidance
Our college counselors work closely with students to explore university options, plan their applications, and ensure all deadlines are met. Counselors also assist with essay writing, scholarship searches, and organizing recommendation letters to support applications. We also invite university representatives to our campus, giving students direct access to valuable guidance and information.
Hands-On Learning
Programs like STEAM, MISTI, and Innovation Day promote digital literacy and practical skills by providing hands-on experience in digital engineering, artificial intelligence, software engineering, programming, and robotics. These activities introduce students to the skills and industries that are shaping the future.
Ongoing Support
Our counseling team and school leadership continuously review and improve student support, making sure they receive clear guidance and encouragement as they prepare for life after school.
