Academic Program

Early Childhood
Early Childhood
Our Early Childhood program employs developmentally appropriate, holistic approach to teaching. It focuses on academics and social emotional growth. Throughout the program our team works hard to cultivate the inquisitive nature of children to encourage learning in all environments. The Nursery program at RVIS, offers the internationally recognized Reggio Emilia learning approach. The Nursery program is designed using an emergent curriculum where projects and themes are inspired by the children’s own interests.

Elementary
Elementary School
Offers an experiential curriculum that focuses on the development of the whole child through a wide-range of innovative teaching practices and activities. Teachers at RVIS also have a wide-range of teaching tools to enhance the learning for each student. We believe that children are motivated to learn when they experience success and develop their understanding. They make connections and build their learning around important concepts. In the elementary school student development is nurtured by highly trained, caring, passionate teachers and support staff.

Middle School
Middle School Curriculum
The RVIS middle school curriculum is relevant, challenging, integrative, and exploratory. It is based on challenging international standards and includes learning activities that create opportunities for students. The curriculum provides direction for what young adolescents should know and be able to do. It supports them to achieve the attitudes and behaviors needed for a full, productive, and satisfying life.

‘A Dog’s Purpose’ seminar, continues to LOVE Ignite days and what we are learning about the wonderful world of dogs. We have had the opportunity to meet some local dog experts and to interact with their 4-legged friends. Last week we visited Delmon Boarding Kennels in Barbar where we talked about dogs at different life stages - puppies, young dogs in training, and senior dogs. We met all types of breeds of dogs and learned a lot about their different needs and suitability as pets.

As Captain for the trip to Dubai, it was my role to lead and organise the team in order to produce the best results. When being abroad whilst playing sports, it can be particularly difficult, seeing as you are against teams you have never faced. Over the span of this 4 day trip, the team, all though it may only have been 6 players, we really bonded and gave it all we had to produce the result of 4th overall. The first half of the trip was very disheartening as we couldn’t pull out a win despite our persistent effort. Every game was a fight to the finish and we never…
