Our Early Childhood program employs developmentally appropriate, holistic approach to teaching. It focuses on academics and social emotional growth. Throughout the program our team works hard to cultivate the inquisitive nature of children to encourage learning in all environments. The Nursery program at RVIS, offers the internationally recognized Reggio Emilia learning approach. The Nursery program is designed using an emergent curriculum where projects and themes are inspired by the children’s own interests.
 
 
Elementary
Elementary School
Offers an experiential curriculum that focuses on the development of the whole child through a wide-range of innovative teaching practices and activities. Teachers at RVIS also have a wide-range of teaching tools to enhance the learning for each student. We believe that children are motivated to learn when they experience success and develop their understanding. They make connections and build their learning around important concepts. In the elementary school student development is nurtured by highly trained, caring, passionate teachers and support staff.
 
 
Middle School
Middle School Curriculum
The RVIS middle school curriculum is relevant, challenging, integrative, and exploratory. It is based on challenging international standards and includes learning activities that create opportunities for students. The curriculum provides direction for what young adolescents should know and be able to do. It supports them to achieve the attitudes and behaviors needed for a full, productive, and satisfying life.
 
 
High School
High School Curriculum
Riffa Views International School is a College Preparatory school based on U.S. and International Standards. Starting in 9th grade, the students are introduced to a rigorous and supportive academic program. It begins to prepare them for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in their 11th and 12th grade years. As student wrap up their 10th grade year, they have the opportunity to select from three different graduating paths: a U.S. equivalent diploma, IBDP Certificate, or IBDP Diploma.

As some of you are already aware, flu season has arrived in Bahrain! Recent media reports pertaining to Swine Flu/H1N1 cases can be unsettling so here are some basic facts regarding the flu.The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness but at times, can lead to complications.

As school was wrapping up for the week last Thursday, a group of dedicated educators gathered to begin the process of building a partnership between schools. Teachers and school leaders from The Bahrain School and RVIS gathered to discuss how to kick off collaborative student, teacher, leader, and community relationships. Wheels were put in motion for some easy ways the schools can start to share practice and build a true partnership.

The Hour of Code is here at RVIS!! The Hour of Code is an annual global event/initiative that takes place every year during Computer Science Education Week, the first week in December. This year, it runs from December 3rd- December 9th. More than 100 million students from around the world participate and engage in at least one hour of coding and computer science activities.

On November 28th and 29th from 6:30-8:00 pm, Riffa Views International School students will proudly present Shrek Jr. an all-school musical. Projects have been in motion to prepare for this day since August including set design, costume preparation, and prop-making. It all began with big plans to build new wooden backdrops for the stage.

As a “community of learners”, RVIS is thrilled to celebrate Literacy Week once again this Sunday, November 18 thru Thursday, November 22. Literacy Week promotes learning through reading, emphasizing skills that will be used throughout one’s lifetime! Introduced three years ago, Literacy Week (also known as Book Week) is an all-school, week-long event in which all things reading are celebrated.
