Students, parents, and the school's staff came together to participate in a series of engaging activities and performances that highlighted Bahrain's authenticity and legacy.The celebrations kicked off with the "Traditional Chest" activity, where students etched their names onto a wooden chest, symbolizing their connection to Bahrain's history. This was followed by a hands-on session in Palm Tree Leaves Weaving (Al Khous) on the second day, where students explored the intricacies of this age-old craft and created beautiful items using palm leaves.On the third day, the spotlight was on Bahrain's pearling history during the "Pearl" activity, where students delved into the fascinating world of pearl types and extraction methods.The fourth day celebrated iconic aspects of Bahraini culture. Female students practiced the art of henna design, learning to prepare and apply intricate patterns. Additionally, students explored the craftsmanship behind traditional dhow boats, understanding their significance in fishing and pearl diving and distinguishing between various types, such as Al-Banoush and Al-Shuai.The week concluded with a grand national celebration at RVIS. The event opened with the royal anthem, followed by mesmerizing traditional folk dances like the Bahraini Ardah. Students, parents, and staff donned traditional attire, filling the school grounds with a spirit of joy and national pride.Participants expressed their delight and pride in taking part in this meaningful celebration, emphasizing its role in fostering a deep connection to Bahrain's rich cultural values, which span thousands of years.
