Riffa Views International School (RVIS) Hosts 250 Educators for the 2023 Near East South Asia (NESA) Educators Training Institute By Ken Davis Director of Marketing and Admissions Published: 2023-02-02 08:24:35 RVIS proudly hosted 250 Educators from around the world for the NESA Educators Training Institute. The training institute was held over four consecutive days and included eleven dynamic and collaborative workshops facilitated by highly regarded international experts. Madeleine Hewitt, the Executive Director of NESA summarized the event stating, “Our primary mission is to build dynamic, collaborative, and professional relationships between educators and their schools. RVIS' strong commitment to leading the future of learning and their willingness to host such an event makes them a natural partner for the NESA organization”. The workshops included topics on building stronger leaders through Adaptive Schools Training; developing stronger communities in early childhood classrooms through Positive Discipline; and exploring authentic ways to enhance student learning in areas such as critical and creative thinking, collaboration and digital citizenship. Diana Dickerson a Kindergarten teacher at RVIS and attendee stated, “The workshop helped to reframe my thinking and gave me a host of new strategies to increase the learning environment in my classroom.” Jo Garrahy, the Head of School at RVIS stated, “We are honored to be working with a forward-thinking organization like NESA, and proud to be hosting an event of this magnitude designed to bring educators together and enhance the learning of children in Bahrain and the region.
