Moving Up! By Deena Alreefy Marketing and Community Relations Liaison Published: 2023-06-14 07:08:03 This week, Riffa Views International school hosted two moving up ceremonies; for grades 5 and 8. Each student's learning journey was celebrated by showcasing their favorite memories and achievements, distributing certificates, capturing pictures, and enjoying treats with their families. The transition from elementary to middle school, or from middle to high school, is an exciting time in a student's life. It marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, offering new opportunities for growth, learning, and personal development. For grade 5 students moving up to middle school, this transition means gaining more independence and responsibility. They will be introduced to new subjects, and teachers, and will have the chance to personalize their journey by exploring their passions and interests. Similarly, for grade 8 students moving up to high school, the transition means taking on more responsibility and exploring a new stage in their life. High school offers a wider range of academic and extracurricular activities, giving students the opportunity to personalize their journey and pursue their passions. It's a time to challenge themselves academically, form new friendships, and discover their place in the world. With these transitions comes the opportunity to impact our community through action. Students can use their newfound independence and responsibility to make a positive difference in the world. Whether it's volunteering, starting a club, or advocating for a cause they care about, they have the power to create change and make a lasting impact. We hope that our 5th and 8th graders embrace this new stage in their lives, continue to explore their passions, and always have a positive impact!
