RVIS was proud to host an empowering "Lunch and Learn" session on Monday, December 11th with Dr. Raida Al-Alawi, a notable figure in engineering and academia. The event, aimed at our 10th and 11th-grade girls, focused on the inspiring journey and experiences of women in the engineering field.

Dr. Al-Alawi, with her rich professional background, captivated the small audience by sharing her personal experiences in the engineering sector. She talked about the challenges and triumphs she faced as a woman in a traditionally male-dominated field, providing real-world insights and encouragement to our young female students considering a similar career path.

The session went beyond general discussions of engineering. It delved into the significance of female representation in STEAM fields and the importance of breaking stereotypes. Dr. Al-Alawi emphasized the need for passion, resilience, and determination in pursuing a career in engineering, and how women can bring unique perspectives and solutions to the table.

Her message resonated deeply with the students, inspiring them to envision a future where they can contribute significantly to the engineering world. This interaction aligns perfectly with RVIS's commitment to encouraging students, especially young women, to explore and excel in STEAM fields.

We are immensely grateful to Dr. Al-Alawi for her enlightening visit and for fostering a sense of empowerment and ambition among our students. Her session has undoubtedly left a lasting impact, encouraging our future female engineers to pursue their dreams with confidence.
