Riffa Views International School (RVIS) is proud to announce its successful re-authorization for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme, marking its second re-authorization since the school's inception. This achievement underscores the school's commitment to providing a world-class education and its continuous efforts to enhance the IB learning experience for its students.

At the helm of the IB Programme is Coordinator Victoria Johnson, whose skills and experience have been instrumental in guiding the school through the rigorous re-authorization process. Johnson's leadership, with the support of the dedicated IB teachers.  Combined with the school's small size, it has enabled more personalized learning experiences, with one-on-one and small group sessions that cater to individual student needs.

A key highlight of the re-authorization is the robust structure in place for the Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) components of the IB Diploma. The school's supportive framework has led to increased overall scores in the Extended Essay, reflecting the students' ability to undertake and excel in challenging academic tasks.

RVIS is also well-resourced in terms of teacher professional development, ensuring that every IB teacher is certified to teach their respective content areas. Some having achieved a category three level of training, deepening their understanding of the program and, in turn, enhancing student success. Additionally, several IB teachers serve as external examiners, further enriching their grasp of the assessment process and enabling them to pass this knowledge on to their students.

Looking to the future, Ms. Johnson stated that “We are very proud of what we have achieved in terms of the program offerings and student success. RVIS will work to further align curriculum subjects to meet IB expectations, ensuring that student learning is consistently in line with the program's rigorous standards.” This ongoing commitment to improvement and excellence in the IB Programme is a testament to the school's dedication to preparing students for success in their academic and personal lives.
