Nursery Students Explore the World Through Their Senses By Deena Alreefy Marketing and Communications Specialist Published: 2024-11-13 00:03:48 This week, our nursery students embarked on a delightful sensory exploration day, where learning and play came together in the most fun way! The focus was on the five senses—touch, taste, sight, sound, and smell—through engaging, hands-on activities. The children had a blast making natural scented playdough using simple ingredients like water, salt, and essential oils. As they shaped colorful creations, they also played a guessing game with different scents, discovering how certain smells can trigger memories and emotions. The sensory adventure continued with edible fruit-scented paints! Our little artists painted with vibrant colors while savoring the delicious aromas of fruits like cherry, lemon, and grape. It was a creative way to explore texture, smell, and taste while making their own sensory masterpieces! Through these activities, the children not only enhanced their fine motor skills and creativity but also deepened their understanding of the world around them. It was a joyful and interactive way to nurture curiosity and learning!
