A Spiritual Journey: RVIS Umrah Trip By Deena Alreefy Marketing and Communications Specialist Published: 2024-12-05 06:13:21 This week, Riffa Views International School students embarked on a deeply meaningful journey as part of the school's first organized Umrah trip. This special initiative aimed to nurture students' spiritual growth and provide them with an unforgettable experience in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. The trip was meticulously planned to ensure students not only performed the rituals of Umrah but also gained a profound understanding of their significance. From the moment they entered the sacred mosque to perform Tawaf around the Kaaba, to the moving experience of Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, every step reinforced the importance of faith, gratitude, and unity. In addition to performing Umrah, students had the privilege of visiting several historically and spiritually significant sites. These included the Quba Mosque, the first mosque built in Islam, and the Al-Sira route, which traces the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) journey to Quba. The group explored the Al-Osiya Sanctuary and As-Safiya Museum and Park, where they learned more about Islamic history and heritage. A visit to the King Fahad Quran Printing Complex provided insight into the meticulous process of printing and distributing the Holy Quran.A highlight of the trip was the special visit to Al-Rawdah Al-Shareefa in the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. Praying in this sacred space was a deeply emotional and spiritually uplifting experience for all.The RVIS community extends its gratitude to the organizers, chaperones, and families who made this trip possible. The Umrah journey is a testament to our school's commitment to fostering both academic excellence and spiritual growth.Through this journey, our students strengthened their connection to their faith and returned inspired to embody its teachings in their everyday lives. This Umrah trip will undoubtedly be a cherished memory, shaping their character for years to come.
