Teacher Spotlight: Erin Carney By Ken Davis - Published: 2020-01-13 06:19:22 Ms. Erin Carney is a long-standing teacher in our community and enjoys teaching second grade at RVIS. This year, her students have enjoyed writing a series of information books and learning about urban, rural and suburban lifestyles, which culminated in an exciting IGNITE Day showcase where students demonstrated the models they have built. Her students love that she is kind, funny and caring. In addition to her excellent work at RVIS, Ms. Carney has been involved with Teachers Across Borders, an organization that works with schools in need to provide support and resources for learning. Recently, she was featured in Gulf Weekly for her innovative upcycling of ‘trash to treasure.’ We are proud of Ms. Carney and the work she is doing, both with our students at RVIS and making an impact to improve education across the world. Please take a moment to recognize Ms. Carney and her excellent work.
