RVIS in partnership with NESA and ISS, hosted a weekend virtual design summit with educators from around the region to leverage design thinking to implement powerful and systemic change across a global network of schools.

With close to 100 participants, Tara Waudby and Jessica Davis co-facilitated the two day summit where participants worked in interest-based challenge teams that focused on topics such as student wellness, equity and inclusion, virtual learning and project-based learning. Groups then engaged in a Design Sprint to gather feedback, and scale their ideas so each member had a product or plan to take back to their school. Ms. Fry, a fourth grade teacher at RVIS enjoyed the summit stating, “The design summit helped me learn new and creative ways to approach a challenge, while connecting me to other teachers passionate about deep learning and creative thinking.
