Senior Showcase By Deena Alreefy Marketing and Community Relations Liaison Published: 2021-06-01 15:12:50 “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way”. —John MaxwellClass of 2021 have proven to be leaders of tomorrow. Each one of them presented a showcase that illustrated their journey and future plans, both academic and personal. Each one of them told a story of success. A story of growth. A story of challenges. A story of hope. A story of compassion. A story of balance. A story of creativity. A story of curiosity. Each one of the 26 graduating students have discovered their strengths, passions, and paths of life. Each one of the 26 graduating students have gone through the motions, challenges and ways to overcome them. Each one of the graduating students have become leaders and role models. Class of 2021 reflected on their time in RVIS and how it shaped who they are, sparked their interests in specific fields, gave them the opportunity to explore an array of world political and social issues, not only in theory but in practice. A panel of faculty, school leadership, students and parents attended these showcases and were able to have a discussion with each student, give feedback, ask questions and commend the students on their inspiring individual journeys. "The showcases are always such a wonderful way to end senior year. It allows us to see the growth of our students in all aspects of their lives and demonstrate their ability to integrate the skills gained in content classes across all aspects of their lives. Equally as important, they are able to reflect on their journey, share their insights and celebrate with the community." - Dhara Levers and Courtney Richardson. Our global citizens have demonstrated their readiness to leave the nest and venture into the world with a shield of wisdom, passion and determination. Good luck class of 2021!
