RVIS on the Effects of Pandemic on Private Education By Deena Alreefy Marketing and Community Relations Liaison Published: 2021-06-01 15:23:28 RVIS participated in a seminar titled The Effects of the Pandemic on Private Education that was organized by Al Bilad Newspaper. The panelists included Members of the legislative branch as well as officials from the Ministry of Education and representatives from various private schools across the country. During the discussion, RVIS's representative, Deena Alreefy agreed that the pandemic has definitely had an impact on private education. Alreefy spoke about the efforts put forth by the school in order to excel in a smooth transition between on-campus and virtual education. Alreefy clarified that transitioning to virtual education... does not lower the costs and expenditures of schools in fact RVIS invested largely in providing the best technologies, software, facilities and faculty and affirmed that the students and their learning is the utmost priority. She added that RVIS does not view education as a commercial commodity, in fact RVIS is a non-profit school that provides the highest quality of education both on campus and virtually. Alreefy announced that RVIS had introduced new tuition fees for the year 21/22 in line with the circumstances and changes both locally and globally due to the pandemic. Alreefy commended the efforts put forth by the Ministry of Education that have contributed to the success of the education sector in the Kingdom. She concluded with stating that collaboration between all parties is essential in overcoming the challenges that the pandemic brings to the education sector.
