3rd Grade Poetry Cafe By Muneera Al Khalifa Grade 12 Student Published: 2021-11-10 07:01:39 RVIS' third grade students became poets for a day for the annual Poetry Cafe. The event was held in the elementary school cafetorium on Sunday. Parents were invited to watch their students recite one of their favorite poems or a poem they wrote themselves.Grade 3 students have been studying and reading poetry for the past few weeks, and the Poetry Cafe was an opportunity to celebrate and showcase their learning with parents and teachers. The cafetorium was designed to replicate a cafe, with tables and flowers spread across the room along with pastries available for students and parents to enjoy. Third grade poets were all dressed in white shirts and sported a French beret during the event in order to create an artistic, creative atmosphere. “It was amazing to see the confidence of each and every student as they took to the stage to recite their poem. It was a wonderful event, and I can't wait for the next one!” stated a proud parent.
