Pre-K Camping Event By Muneera Al Khalifa Grade 12 Published: 2021-12-08 06:53:17 RVIS Pre-K students enjoyed an afternoon of outdoor fun in a camping event held last Wednesday in the Early Childhood Playground. The camping day was designed to fit into their current unit about changing seasons. Students took part in experiential learning activities including roasting marshmallows over a campfire. Families were invited to the event and were able to enjoy the range of activities with their children. The afternoon began with singing campfire songs together with Ms. Layton, the music teacher. One of the 12th Grade Students, Abdulla Saleh, read aloud a storybook to the students. Pre-K students participated in educational activities including a nature discovery walk, where they explored the RVIS campus and observed the greenery and streams around the school. As the camping event came to an end, students settled down for an outdoor movie night, in which they watched The Bee Movie, relating to their lesson about changing seasons. “We are so excited to do our camping event today. This camping event helps students experience a real camping feel, here in our EC playground!” said Ms. Samira while describing the event.
