RVIS Students Visit the Parliament By Muneera Al Khalifa Grade 12 Published: 2022-03-16 05:30:14 On Tuesday, March 15th five RVIS students had the opportunity to experience a parliament meeting on their field trip to the Council of Representatives. The trip was organized in cooperation with the Joint Parliamentary Culture Program, and educated students on the role of the legislative branch. Upon arriving at the Council , students attended a presentation given by an outreach coordinator. The presentation gave a brief history on the formation of Bahrain's two councils and explained the election process of the representatives. Students then got to witness the representatives in-action by attending the weekly parliamentary session. HE Mr.Bader Al Doseri, Member of Parliament, greeted and spoke with the students, answering questions about the parliament's role in society. “We wish the RVIS students present today success and the best of luck with their academic journey. We hope that you serve as a good example of Bahrain's future leaders.” Said HE Fouzia Zainal, Speaker of the Council of Representatives.
