Congratulations must also go to the talented and dedicated teachers who support all our students to reach their full potential,” said Jo Garrahy, Head of School. “My daughter is ecstatic with her results! She couldn't have done it without the undying support of her teachers, personalized learning journey, and the RVIS community. I'm so proud of her and her peers. She's now pursuing a degree in psychology in the University of Massachusetts where she's exempt from attending some university courses due to her IB Diploma” Said Nathan Taylor, an RVIS parent. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a two-year educational programme primarily aimed at grade 11 and 12 students. The curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the Diploma Programme core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS) and the extended essay. Through the Diploma Programme (DP) core, students reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research and undertake a project that often involves community service. The IBDP is recognized and respected by the world's leading universities, and evidence suggests that higher rates of DP students receive acceptances to their top choice school allowing for greater opportunity and success in their future.
