Senior Trip to Spain By Abdulla Nass Grade 12 Published: 2022-11-02 05:43:02 This year's Grade 12 Senior Trip to Barcelona was a one in a million opportunity full of thrilling sports activities and discovery around parts of Catalunya and Barcelona. Students had the opportunity to go on a long and thrilling bike ride all around the Catalunya resort whilst discovering stunning views. Everyone successfully managed to complete an enduring 5km hike of the world famous Montserrat Mountain which is located in Catalunya, on the outskirts of Barcelona. There was also an opportunity to pay a visit to the Gothic Quarter, which features the city's oldest neighborhoods, the remains of the Roman city wall, and some important medieval landmarks. Another highlight from the trip was the chance to go to the Camp Nou Stadium which is officially the biggest football stadium in the world and can hold up to a staggering 99,000 fans. Students and Teachers watched a Spanish League game between Spanish giants FC Barcelona against Villarreal CF. The atmosphere inside the stadium was phenomenal throughout the 90 minutes of the match. The Grade 12 students expressed their gratitude to everyone who was involved in making this unforgettable experience happen, and there is no doubt that the memories that were made in Spain will stay with them for a very long time.
